Developed in 1996, Dargan Lawns commemorates engineer William Dargan, the Laois man with strong Carlow links who successfully executed the contract to build Ireland’s first railway from Dublin to Kingstown (Dun Laoighaire). The scheme consisted of two-storey, three bedroom houses in a quiet cul de sac.
